idea is to help your garden to attract a range of wildlife including birds, insects, frogs,
hedgehogs, butterflies, native wild flowers, plants and trees. We will introduce features
such as butterfly plants, wildlife hedging, bug hotels and a small basic pond. We will
examine the importance of planting native Irish trees and look at examples of food
sources and habitat for a wide range of species.
Other topics include how to prepare soil
for planting and sowing wild flowers, and the use of natural and safe insecticides and
companion planting..
