These are stand-alone courses.
In addition to these one day courses we are offering a Family Communication Clinic, on the last Friday evening of each month except July and August from 3 – 6 pm. This is particularly suitable for the whole family, with children, teenagers, and relevant child minders. Fees for this clinic depend on the number of participants.

Learn how to create and maintain harmony in your family and other close relationships.
This course will include skills such as Non-Violent Communication and Non-Defensive Communication. It is helpful for negotiating boundaries, organising home life, and increasing lightness and fun in spite of perceived problems.
This full day course offers you practical exercises and time for reflection to help you learn new ways of communicating, de-escalating conflicts and creating more harmonious relationships.
Thomas will facilitate learning from the experiences of other course participants as well as from himself. There will be also be opportunities for deepening the learning through role play as a way of practising these skills in every day life.

Active and reflective listening
Compassionate and Assertive Communication
Working on ‘our’ side of a conflict
Finding our power, becoming aware of our boundaries and communicating them effectively

Dealing with temper tantrums, sibling rivalry, and other family dynamics
Training Bio
Thomas Riedmuller, co-founder and resident of The Hollies Centre for Practical Sustainability offers workshops and training about Conflict Resolution, Participatory Group Facilitation, Team Building, Cooperative Games and corporate Communication Training. He can also be hired as a Group Facilitator and Mediator. He is a certified member of the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII) and has worked with national and international organisations and businesses, with Irish primary and secondary schools, and regularly teaches ‘Leadership and Conflict Resolution’ as well as ‘Mediation’ courses at University College Cork.
